Regenerative Agriculture Finance · Amsterdam
Illahee Capital partners with farmers and food companies to build the financial infrastructure that makes regenerative agriculture viable at scale. Netherlands first. Europe next.
Netherlands, Groene Hart
Illahee Capital builds the financial infrastructure for regenerative agriculture. We partner with farmers on the fiscal stability that makes transition viable, and with food companies on the sourcing infrastructure that backs their move to a more sustainable market position.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, focused on the Netherlands transition and a mandate to scale across the European Union.
The Netherlands is the most pressured agricultural market in Europe and the most organized for transition. The capital is committed. The programs are active. The supply chains are forming.
Labe Orloff spent two decades running businesses across the US and Europe, always with the same bias toward companies trying to leave things better than they found them. He moved to Amsterdam in 2019 drawn by a Europe that takes environmental transition seriously, and founded Illahee Capital because regenerative agriculture sits at the intersection of things that actually matter: feeding people, rebuilding soil, and making the economics work for farmers ready to make the shift.
Transitioning to regenerative practices carries real costs and cash flow pressure over a 2 to 5 year period. Illahee Capital works directly with farmers to structure the financial packages, offtake agreements, and transition plans that make lenders willing to back the shift.
Supply SideFood companies and retailers face growing pressure to build verified regenerative supply chains. Most lack the farm relationships, technical knowledge, and deal capacity to do it internally. Illahee Capital builds and manages that sourcing infrastructure on retainer.
Demand SideImpact funds, development banks, and EU transition programs have capital allocated for regenerative agriculture and are struggling to find investment-ready projects. Illahee Capital structures and prepares those projects, giving institutional capital somewhere to go.
Capital SideRegenerative agriculture is one of the most important transitions happening in food and land right now. We are excited about it, and we want to talk to everyone who is too.
Whether you are a farmer ready to make the shift, a food company building a sourcing program, or an investor looking to put capital to work in European agriculture, reach out. There is no wrong way to start the conversation.
