Labe Orloff spent two decades running businesses across the US and Europe, always with the same bias toward companies trying to leave things better than they found them. He moved to Amsterdam in 2019 drawn by a Europe that takes environmental transition seriously, and founded Illahee Capital because regenerative agriculture sits at the intersection of things that actually matter: feeding people, rebuilding soil, and making the economics work for farmers ready to make the shift.

Transitioning to regenerative practices carries real costs and cash flow pressure over a 2 to 5 year period. Illahee Capital works directly with farmers to structure the financial packages, offtake agreements, and transition plans that make lenders willing to back the shift.

Food companies and retailers face growing pressure to build verified regenerative supply chains. Most lack the farm relationships, technical knowledge, and deal capacity to do it internally. Illahee Capital builds and manages that sourcing infrastructure on retainer.
